THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Wow, all of those cap letters were probably not necessary but I really meant each and every thank and you. I toadily knew how great my friends were but they went above and beyond these past couple of weeks. The going away party was totally fab despite the many, many events going on. I couldn't have put a more random group of peeps on a pier even if I had tried. However, I highly enjoyed the outdoor setting until the mosquitoes came out in full force and within minutes I had welts all over my body. The cards and generous gift were way too much. I seriously LOVED them all and seeing everyone one last time before my departure. It was a sad, sad evening ending my Madison era at Madison's (only seemed appropriate) with a couple of my favorite gal pals on Thursday but with the help of this nifty blog, email, gchat, text messaging, etc. I have no doubts I'll keep in touch with my dearest friends. I will miss MN too hence the endless amounts of food I ate with the fam over the weekend. Seriously, I went to Bob's produce with my mom to buy green peppers and we walked out with two rotisserie chickens, two pies, new york vanilla (we did dat on purpose) and oh yeah those green peppers. Everyone wonders where I get my eating habits and love for the kitchen from, you can definitely thank my mom for both of those. Well friends, we laughed, cried, worked, ate and drank a lot together but I'm not saying goodbye. This is merely just a check ya later moment as we'll be keeping in touch via blog, email, gchat, text, fb, myspace, etc. Probably no posts until after I get settled unless you really want to read about the trials and tribulations of cramming a ton of clothes, shoes and toiletries into a few suitcases or me whining about missing my parents. Yeah, I didn't think so either. It will be far more entertaining to read about my new random roomies or getting lost on the subway with E. Check ya later in NYC! Love you, miss you already. Peace out friends.
I feel like a real blogger today guys and gals. I'm just living the dream doing my laundry at Laundry 101 and blogging away right now while my clothes are getting all clean. I've been delaying this whole laundry situation for quite a few days. It was either do my laundry today or go out and buy new clothes. Since it was my last weekend in Madison, hence the post title I decided to really live it up (and delay doing my laundry). I stated, "it's my last weekend" so many times friday - sunday that I think my friends are more relieved than sad it's my last weekend. The most monumental thing I did over this last weekend of mine was go to the Brewer's game thanks to Casey and Kirsten for organizing/driving to the festivities. In true Wisconsin fashion the three of us gals went to the grocery store and bought all of the cheddarwursts, bbq chips and alcohol one could possibly enjoy. Unfortunately the traffic was a pain but thanks to my expertise DJing skills the ride wasn't so bad (except for Juston who was about to jump out of the car if he heard another rap song provided by moi :)). Eventually we arrived to tailgating heaven full of beer guzzling, brat eating, and blue and white plastered fans in the midst of the parking lot of Miller Park. I must say this is one experience you definitely cannot enjoy or appreciate in any other place except for the Midwest and especially WI. I ended up consuming 2 cheddarwursts, a plethora of bbq chips, Miller Chill, a strawberry daquiri and the most amazing food eva. cheddar fries. These are essentially waffles fries drenched in nacho cheese served up in your very own mini Brewer's helmet. I mean seriously how good do those look?! Exactly. No one thought I was watching the game since the last one I went to I disappeared for 2 hours to eat apps. at TGIFridays. However, I really impressed everyone, especially myself knowing we had claimed victory 3-2 against the Baltimore Orioles. All in all a glorious day my friends. However, the amount of cheese and alcohol I consumed should really be illegal...And to leave you with something extra special from the Brewer's game this should also be illegal. Peace out friends!
me with a spotted cow at the terrace ---------------->This weekend was pretty much da (also means the) bomb. I'm starting to get a little sentimental about the whole leaving Wisco thing so I indulged in all of my favorite things with some of my favorite people over the weekend. Any time I am drinking brandy old fashioned sweets and spotted cow while eating cheese curds and buffalo wings life is pretty much amazing. Originally I was planning on writing about my great memories at the terrace but the weather was seriously pissing me off on Saturday afternoon. It started to rain, stopped and then continued to rain forcing me and my friends to leave. However, I truly believe everything happens for a reason and as you are about to read Saturday afternoon was no different. My buddy Matt and I decided to go meet up with our friend Jon who was working at the Mariner's Inn. Naturally I was hungry post spotted cow consumption and pre sushi consumption. I wanted some apps! Mariner's Inn is a fancy supper club for old, rich Republicans or in this case young, hungry Republicans. Jon recommended the stuffed mushrooms or some other fancy delight but Matt and I insisted on the mozzarella sticks and buffalo wings. I bold and italicize the buffalo wings because they were absolutely delicious. They were the perfectly deep fried/buffalo flavored chicken pieces of greatness. I've been literally obsessed over the Glass Nickel chicken wings but I'm not gonna lie, these had even better flavor and crispiness. The only thing that would make them taste even better is delivery right to my front door. I would've put a picture up of me eating the buffalo wings but it's not nearly as glamorous as me drinking a beer at the terrace and honestly I didn't want to embarrass myself or any of you by doing that. Well kids, overall a fab weekend. All of this food talk is making me hungry and on that note this girl needs to eat some grub. Peace out until next time!

So, apparently this whole moving thing is a lot of work. My gmail box is full of responses to Craig's list posts for pretty much everything in my apartment, including my apartment and details for a new apartment in NYC. So far, I've sold one thing - my gigantic, plush queen size bed to the highest bidder - Mr. Juston Johnson. Despite all of my clever marketing tactics on craig's list the deal went down like this. Yesterday around 2:00pm CST in the dark alley behind Gateway Ventures I randomly saw Juston and mentioned I needed to sell my queen size bed. I offered up my generous deal and he said he'd take it without any further questions. Essentially, I wasted about half of my work day responding to emails mentioning the exact firmness of my mattress, the brand, sending out the above picture (awful picture, sorry Juston) and sold it to Juston in about .2 seconds. Um, best business deal eva! You're probably like, why did you just mention Juston's name 4 times (now 5)? I said I'd do a shout out to him and I am so excited I actually sold one of my precious belongings that I really wanted to go all out. Look forward to the upcoming post where I talk about sharing a twin size bed with E (aka. the twin sis) my first new nights in NYC. Peace out until tomorrow. :)
Hello family, friends and lovas. I am moving to New York City aka the Big Apple in a mere 3 weeks. This will be a friendly place to discuss my adventures and new life on the East Coast. Things are never easy moving out to a completely new city with new people and a new job but I am up for the challenge. I am going to miss the midwest, especially WI and MN dearly. However, be prepared to be highly entertained by my new experiences in the coming months. All of us can only imagine the shenanigans I will be getting myself into. I've already been told my new job is a very "work hard, play hard" atmosphere, so i will clearly fit right in. I was once told that Koreans are the Irishmen of Asia. I think my dad actually told me that...not sure what he was trying to get at. Welp, this blog has officially been born 6.11.08 at 10:20am CST. Sit back, enjoy and come back often. Love you all! :)
